The Stork engine is a Dutch design, originally manufactured by Stork Werkspoor B.V. They quickly acquired a reputation as robust reliable engines. In particular the smaller Stork engines, for example, the F240, were very popular in fishing vessels, where the demand was for simplicity, ease of operation and robust reliability. The larger engines included the TM 410, which have proved very popular in power stations especially in Indonesia. The TM 620 represents one of the largest four stroke engines ever built.
In 1989 Stork Werkspoor was purchased by Wärstilä and some new engines, for example the 280 and W38 continued the tradition under the new ownership. However, the factory has now been closed and production transferred.
Simplex can supply a good package of service and wear items suitable for the TM410, SWD 280 and F240.
